Sublogic Corporation - History

Sublogic was established in October 1977 by Bruce Artwick. In April 1978, Bruce’s partner, Stu Moment incorporated Sublogic.

Early works included 3D to 2D graphic transformations for the emerging microcomputer base. In 1979 and 1980 Sublogic released Flight Simulator 1 for the Radio Shack TRS-80 and Apple home computers. Sublogic developed versions 2 & 3 of Microsoft Flight Simulator in the mid to late 1980’s.

By 1991 Sublogic released a version of Flight Assignment ATP with vocal Air Traffic Control.

In 1995 Sublogic released Flight Light with emphasis on giving the user a structured introduction to flight as well as visual cues to aid in learning procedures and navigation. Late in 1995 Sublogic was sold to Sierra On-Line.

Sublogic was reestablished in 1998. Our basic simulation structure usable in medical, flight or machinery simulation was reconstructed for the Windows environment. Equations of physical force and movement were redone to provide universal application of these technologies.

Sublogic currently provides “part-task” simulations and pre-contracting consulting to industry and research institutions.
